Lani has been working at Volunteer Otago as the youth coordinator since the position was created in 2008. She runs workshops and holds stalls at the university, polytech, and a whole heap of schools around Dunedin - so keep your eye out for her zooming past you on her bicycle.

Lani's passion for community work is HUGE and she reckons that volunteering has provided some of her best life experiences! She has tracked Andean Spectacled Bears through the cloud forests of Ecuador, walked the length of the South Island to raise awareness for Youthline, drawn comic strips for socialist newspapers and hung suspended from cliffs for the Wilderness Society (just to name a few). Check out the film below to see what dedication to a cause can do!
