Susie Yeats is the current manager at Volunteering Otago. She has been in the role since March 2007. Before that she worked for many years as a lawyer at the Dunedin Community Law Centre, starting out there as a student volunteer.

Her main volunteer involvement has centred around her children, being involved on a School Trust Board and spending many happy hours as a parent helper in the classroom.

Susie knows that the work of volunteers is vital to the running of many local organisations.  The range of work they do and the range of people who choose to become involved is impressive.

Susie is really pleased to see that volunteering seems to be becoming a cool thing to do!
