Carol was born and bred in California and lived in Australia for 28 years before bursting onto the shores of Dunedin 2007. She loves volunteering, something she has been doing for many years. In the early 1990s she was a volunteer radio announcer for a community radio station outside Sydney. She also worked as a volunteer youth worker at a drop-in centre before working for the Red Cross where she was a buddy to an elderly resident in a nursing home.
She now finds herself very fortunate to be working for Volunteering Otago, helping out at the Centre’s weekly stall at the university, where she helps students in their endeavours to become volunteers themselves.
